Most farm dairy products are made from whole milk. However, for products with an adjusted fat content, milk must be separated into cream and skimmed milk, which can then be mixed again in a certain ratio. Complete skimming of milk yields 10% cream with a fat percentage of ± 45%.

For skimming, C. van ‘t Riet Zuiveltechnologie B.V. supplies various types of separators/centrifuges, possibly in combination with a pasteurizer. Incorporating only cream into our butter churn is also among the options.
